The Fall 2013-2014 School Year has started this week. Up for me this semester is one class, Physical Geography. The class should be pretty interesting. It is a hybrid class so not entirely online but one day a week and the rest all online. One thing I am not happy with is textbooks are expensive but this course also uses a third party online system that also costs money. Our school has BlackBoard so I am not sure why they don’t have all online class through it since it does not cost the student extra except for the textbook. I think I am finally a Sophomore now so that is nice.
Plants vs Zombies is a game by PopCap, it originally started as a very popular Windows game. I did not hear about it until it came to iPhone and was addicted to it. Well today they have finally released the sequel to the very popular game, Plants vs Zombies 2: It’s About Time.
PvZ 2 has new plants and new zombies, it also takes you to new lands like Egypt, Pirates, and Wild West. This time around PvZ is free but also has upgrades that cost real money. I am not a huge fan of Freemium games, I would rather pay $5 for a game then need upgrades. PopCap says you don’t need to pay for the upgrades to complete the game so at least they are not forcing it on us.
It looks like the iOS app Bad Piggies is free this week for the iPhone and iPad. This is a fun little game that gets your brain turning as you need to figure out a way to get the Pigs to safety with the eggs. It from the same game studio that gave us Angry Birds, and it is free which is always good.
I just started reading “American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History” so far the book has gone into his childhood for a bit and then getting into the Military. So far it seems like a good book, I love action and drama type books so I think this might fall into this category. I just checked out Amazon and the book is $4.78 a killer price for a book so why not pick it up, I checked it out from my local library, great that I can check out books on my Kindle app on my iPad.
